memories, not forgotten

it was like drowning
I woke up underwater
I slept underwater
vision, cloudy
hearing, muffled
voice
gone
and now I am no longer
underwater
but I will never forget
I can never forget
the feeling of dull senses
so tired
swallowed by the darkness
all I want is to move on
but the scars run too deep
