Warm sunshine morning
Full of light and cheerfulness
Today is the day, I can hardly contain myself
Waiting... waiting ... waiting…

Fluttering and flowing towards the flowers
At last they arrive anxiously through the door
Excitement, energy, and anticipation fills my wings looking for my special girl
Waiting…. waiting .... waiting…

Hoping she recognizes me, I race towards her
Her gentle heart full of tenderness
We danced and played until the sun set, sad to see her go
Waiting…  waiting ....  waiting…

A special bond forms and I can’t wait for each new day
Running and romping, moments and memories and stories
Our favorite spot, full of  adventures and special times
Waiting…  waiting … waiting…

Days pass and weeks pass
My heart becomes infused with dread and sorrow
“Where could she be?” Still waiting in our favorite spot
Waiting … waiting … waiting...

One day a familiar face comes in
My heart fills with sadness, it’s her mother, the little girl is in heaven
On this day, I became the little girl’s angel, until we meet again

Peaceful with a content heart
