"A Brush"
Wonderfully unbalanced bristles
In a predicament with their ferrule
The artist’s engine
Belly-flopping and skating
Adjacent to the stretch
To parent a monster or a universe
Is to fix a brush forth
The academy of Quest
Is often where we find our thrill
The academy of Quest
Is often where we learn to arouse
that fleshy hunger for value
And saturation
Or lack thereof
Such a confidential story we hide
In our bristles
Such an inborn punch we clench with our teeth
Let go
And polish your diary
And dip it halfway into the jar of stature

I was inspired, and still am, by my wonderful teachers and my beautiful mother.
