There used to be a girl
Who loved the world
Loved music
Loved friends
Was totally carefree
Who loved everything she could see
Everything she could be
She was a dreamer
These things are shadows of the past
Parts of who the world was
But now the world is different
There is no
Carefree
No could be
There is only what you are
People telling you your place
Right to your face
Keep up the pace.
So shadows of the past
Are no more.
