Reminding Leaves

Leaves howl in the wind,
Pushing me to get through,
Reminding me how lost and empty I feel.
When stepped on,
Loud yet soft cracks are to be heard,
Reminding me how silent and alone I feel.
As climate changes,
Their colors and shape transform,
Reminding me how cold and different I feel.
While growing on trees,
I’ve experienced the life of a leaf,
Reminding me how observing and insightful I feel.
