He creeps closer slowly in black,
Tightening his grasp,
While she retracts to never come back,
Loosening her wrap.
Do I miss her bright light?
Or look forward to the dark abyss?
Her ongoing surprises never failed to excite,
But the ultimate surprise I could not miss.
