Missing You
The sky was of cotton candy,
  so soft and sticky.
  Memories of war and loss
  lie between the seamless spaces,
of rosie reds and translucent yellows
filling the sky as if it were a canvas.
  The harsh and condescending grey,
  and the rapid waters ahead,
clears the path for a new beginning
  for all of those affected.
  The almost mirror like resemblance,
takes me back to when you were here.
I feel the quick bitter breeze of 10 years gone,
but then the warm comforting hugs from you above.
  The submerging sun ahead,
  bright, electric, breath taking.
  I see your hallowed smile,
ever so faintly between the clouds.
The explosion in front of me,
  rusty, toxic, gaseous, monumental.
The deep waters have no match against
  what an impact you made.
The sky was of cotton candy,
so soft, airy, but will leave its mark.
