Senior year
Senior year seemed so far away
But now it is almost over
What was once a distant thought
Is now almost a memory
It is weird, to think about being done
With high school, and all it brings
To be going off to college next fall
Into the great unknown
At least I know what I want to do
That’s mor than some can say
But it is still scary regardless
Everyone feels that way
I will get through it eventually
Just like everyone has for all of time
High school seemed like a permanent dwelling
But now appears more like a hotel
As I look back on my years
Of happiness and effort
I also look forward
To what I know will come hereafter
