"and the salt in my wounds isn't burning anymore than it used to. It's not that I don't feel the pain. It's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore. And the blood in these veins isn't pumping any less than it ever has and that's the hope I have, the only thing I know that's keeping me alive." - Paramore (Last Hope)

She had a smile that could outshine the sun,
But her smile was a cage as well as her eyes,
She hid behind the laugh that said she was having fun,
But she’s gotten to good at making truth of these lies,

She will ensure that no one feels alone,
But when she can’t sleep that’s all she can feel,
And one day her smile hadn’t shone,
She was too tired to fake so she just acted real,

Her smile hid her cuts and her scars,
Her smile hid her thoughts,
But this smile no longer shines like the stars,
It was as if this smile was bought,

She traded her smile for a sense of strength,
Strength to cover up sleepless nights,
And even though she was in so much pain,
Every day she would wakes up and fights,

She fought to keep she smile that hid her problems all so well,
She fought to keep her thoughts inside her head,
She fought to keep herself alive,
She fought until she went to bed,

And if I could feel,
If I could feel as the old me had,
Then maybe I would remember what okay felt like,
When not every night felt so sad,
