A life
The sun was shattering the night sky
Everyone was asleep
While she was bathing in the deep sea
Deserted
For years, she had been there
Concluding to stop
She figured all her woes
Would melt away with her
No one would note she was gone
As she was fading
She saw the surface
Grow oh-so distant
Closing her eyes she accepted her fate
But a hand snatched her
Tearing her from the watery grave
Despite her efforts she was back
Above water
Someone had “saved” her
As he sailed them back to shoer
She asked him one question
Why?
He looked at her with a twinkle in his eye
Declaring your a gift
A form of affection sprouted in her heart
Reaching shore she became astonished
Every person in the village, was awaiting her return
They all came rushing to hug her
After they left she cried
The boy asked a question
Why are you crying?
She looked at him with tears in her eyes
Declaring I finally know I’m appreciated
Thanks to you
