sad love poem

She’s got me hooked with her siren’s song, a confused sailor who caught the bait
She cast a line out for my soul that reeled me in and sealed my fate
Such a temptress, only drug I ever fiended for was her love.
Overdosed on sobering thoughts of “you” and “me” becoming “us”

My mind’s still at petty war with that bloody bastard inside my chest
Clashing viciously over who’s to blame for this surly mess
But they’ve both betrayed me, and my perfect love cocktail was Molotov
Burning me for eternity, sip her sin till I’ve fallen off
