Tapping on the phone
Looking for an answer
No one to talk to
No one can see me
No one to love
No one understands
Confused
Communication in the world is so hard when everything I want to say sounds wrong
Nothing elicits the connection I’m longing to feel
Nothing grounds me to my roots
It’s all superficial
Nothing telling me who I am
Giving my life to others
Giving myself away slice by slice
Letting go of what I am
Floating here, motionless
Suspended from reality
I’m waiting for something
To push me over the edge
And set me free
