She walks into a field of flowers where she encounters hundreds of monarch butterflies.
They flutter their large, orange and black wings
with empowering energy and faith.

The girl continues to linger through the colorful maze,
wondering how each independent butterfly has embraced change and
beautifully let go of the past.

During her four mile journey, she sees an innocent cocoon.
A small thing that is not ready to spread its wings,
one that will soon face a life where there is no such thing as a comfort zone.

With each step, the compassionate environment of the meadow begins to upset her.
A place that used to be calm and relaxing
is now a bitter reminder that she will shortly have to
surrender her cocoon,
appreciate every flower,
dare to get off the ground,
and broaden her wings.
