A Burning Brew

Today is just another day
Trying to avoid the pain
Watching the “it crowd”
Aimlessly sip on espresso
Watching the words pour
Out of their mouths
Each letter
Effortlessly escaping
Filling your mind
With unscrupulous lies
Blowing you off
With as much as a glare
Scorching a hole in your
Spirit, until there’s nothing but negativity
They have never been burned by their brew
And they never will
