Steep Hill
A steep hill.
That's what we're on.
We're on our back from that party at your friend's house.
(Their parents weren't home,
So they beer and all types of alcohol.
We wanted to fit in,
So we indulged.
We knew it was wrong.
We did it anyway.)
You wanted to drive.
I didn't let you at first and I should have tried harder.
Now we're on the pavement.
With cop cars all around.
Heard someone say
"An ambulance is on the way."
This never should have happened.
I should not have let you drive.

My dad told me asked me to write him a poem, so I did. He said to write it about a hill, so I did. I let him read it when I was done. He liked it and said I should put it on here, so I did.
