Ode to food
It’s the essence of life
That ends all hunger and strife
But like anything, it’s abused
A comforting friend, that can’t be refused
You gobble, consume, and devour
Anything and everything, because food is power
Yet there's never enough for the others
Waiting for any food, any quality,and color
Desperate for the essence that gives us life
To feed yourself, the children, and wife
