I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

I am a pesky weed…
I am a dandelion
Most see me as exasperating
Most see me as good-for-nothing
Most try getting rid of me
While they do not know me
Youth grabs ahold of my stem
I am pulled from my pesky roots
Then they blow on me
And all of me goes afloat
I fly in the air wild and free
There will soon be more of me!

The author's comments:

When I was in elemenatry school, I was scolded when I plucked a dandelion from the ground and I blew on it because it causes there to be more weeds. I have always viewed blowing on a dandelion as blowing a wish, so the message of my poem is that you will face adversity in following your dreams, but that is what gives us determination to go on and conquer our dreams.

Good job it is a great poem. Can you look at my work? :)
