I am from broken noses to getting kicked out of Sunday School.
Bang! I punched the teacher to going on peaceful
vacations where I don’t have to worry about my next incident.

I am from quotes moving me through the unknown rough passages
“Good, better, best, never let it rest until your best is better
and your better is best” and “fashionably early.”

I am from grandparents teaching me their ways of life
to my parents that pass it down like teachers do teaching
learning is a concept through trying and mistakes
when my grandparents made a mistake they just tried again
teaching those who have not yet learned

I am from my sky blue house making me feel as though I am in a dream,
to my house calling me which helps feel
peace and creativity within myself

I am from my school work being the least important
thing that happened to me following the unforgettable friendships
these are the makings of myself if lost it’s like losing a part of me
anyone can lose anything but when people have family and friends they are perfect

I am from my dads maiden name bringing out the respect and caring
that has been going through my family for years
even though the day may come for my sisters to have it changed
hopefully they won’t forget that they are a proud and honorable Huckstep

I am from my sports driving my life in ways that I thought wasn’t imaginable
to me making mistakes along the way, even though there was a
battle that was lost you can never forget about the war.
When it hits you, Boom!  You can then really see how everything pays off

I am from every word that people say incorrectly to changing it so that its right
To liking people for the way they are and not their cover up that’s on them
Instead of putting on that plastic image
Be as though you’re an eagle soaring through the air
