Where I am from
I am from my stuffed bear
From warm chicken nuggets and dora the explorer
I am from the lakes of Minnesota
And the smell of the morning rain dew from the wet grass
I am from the green beans that grow in my garden
And the willow tree
Whose long gone limbs I remember
As if they were my own.
I’m from decorating my tree at christmas, and eating chicken and potatoes at thanksgiving
From Bill and Elissa
I'm from treating people respectfully, and being tender-hearted
And from watching movies on those snowy winter days.
I’m from dogs barking and cats meowing
And the itsy bitsy spider that goes up the water spout
I’m from playing sports outside on those hot summer days
I’m from Douglas county hospital, and great grandma lina
From Grandma's garden fresh potatoes, and my mom's famous pickle dip that everyone loves
From a miracle on a 17 foot roof
Breaking 5 ribs and a concussion
I am from the heart shaped bracelet from my great grandma Lina
Hidden in my dresser drawer
I am from Sophie Koep
