I'm from a farm town,
I'm from the neck of the woods,
I'm from the roots in the ground
a twisted branch on the tree of life,
I'm from tough work that's not rewarded
Long lists of chores to do.
Vacuuming to cleaning bathrooms
I'm from the bottom of the totem pole.
I'm from the farm and the Kemp Cows (not literally)
The milk enjoyed by thousands.
I'm from tough decisions and sleepless nights.
I'm from minimum wage to 12$ an hour.
I'm from greasy wet kitchens and slippery floors.
Went from rags to riches ( scrubbies)
I'm from dishwashing to injection molding
now making the tiny essentials in people's lives.
From makeup cases to soap dispensers.
I'm from Metropolitan area
Where there aren't many outsiders in a small town.
I'm from black and blue eyes
Broken arms to beatings and  backyard brawls between older brothers.
I'm from 3 acres
I’m from bags of weeds pulled from the soil
Mulch spread all over the estate
Grass cut every friday.
Pruned gardens similar to edens’.
