My nails have grown, your last bits clipped
The glove you once wore shrunken
in my palm
The laughs you once echoed, still loop
in my mind
The paint on your fingers stain my skin
You were shielded from the wounds I have come to bear
Your fears of the world still bring tears
to my eyes
Your brown eyes have aged, yet I see
what you saw
The moon has never changed,
but you and I have
