Before I met you, I didn't know
Autumn leaves had so much color.
I didn't know the sweet scent
Of a summer breeze.
Or the happiness of a
First kiss.
Before I met you, I didn't know
What love felt like.
The feeling of butterflies
Trying to burst out of my chest
When someone says your name.
Or staying up all night,
Waiting for a single text.
Before I met you I didn't know
Pain.
Loss.
Heartbreak.
But I guess there is no way
To go back to
Before I met you.
