Crossing the Bridge
A new beginning means an old goodbye
I’m crossing the bridge in more ways than one
  In part, I am excited
A new experience a new chapter
But I have never been good at leaving things behind
When I first visited, I loved the little bridge
After a long day, I could escape and go home
Cross the bridge and clear my mind
But now I see it differently
The bridge is the length between two worlds
Who I was and who I am now
It is the length between what was home and what will be soon
And that length has never felt so long to me
I am more nervous than ever
But I know I will succeed
The little bridge I cross will become a normality
And I will be happy where I am
A new chapter brings new opportunities
And I will take advantage of that
  Because I know
  Everyone of us crosses bridges
