My grandma taught me how to cook,

My favorite meal is goulash,
The soft pillow of noodles,
Reminds me of how she used me make me a bed when I slept over,
The saucy redness of the fresh tomatoes,
It’s color reminds me of the love she gives me,
When i’m surrounded by the all the flavors,
It’s like all the love from different family members.

My grandpa taught me to bake,
My favorite is his bread,
The fresh smell of yeast,
It surrounds you just like warm hugs,
It reminds me of his big open arms wrapping around me,
The fresh, warm, salted buttery taste,
Welcomes you with a big smile,
just like his,
It makes me feel loved.
