Secrets
Secrets
Hard to keep
Easy to have
No one’s supposed to know
Like the quiet of the night
You can barely hear
As the whispers of your “friends”
Tell your secrets to your many peers
1,2,3,4
The number of people
Who now know
Growing as the day goes on
Your tiny little secret
Is now a big loud noise
A noise that spreads
Like gasoline to a fire
It occupies the lunchroom, the classrooms, and the phone screens
You can hear
As people whisper
Your secret to each other
Your tiny little secret
Is
Now
One
Big lie
You only told one
But she told two
And now three know
Everyone knows
You wish
That you would have kept
Your tiny little secret
To yourself
Secrets
Hard to keep
Easy to have
No one’s supposed to know.

I wrote this peom when I had a bunch of false rumors going around about me. I want people to realize that they aren't alone and others know how it feels. I also want the people who start the rumors to know how it feels. Hpw it feels when you thought you could trust someone and they ended up twisting your words to turn others against you.
