In the winding winter months

The snow morphs the shape of the world.

But who is on top of the world?

And what is in store underneath?

Animals possess great energy

As they frolic and dance and rejoice.

These are the times they live for

And then burrow under the ice.

As flakes flit and flutter

Whispering wisdom as they fall

Creating a blanket on top

of a sparkling pure white.

Children prance around

Creating friends as they go.

Filing inside one by one,

Blushing from the snow.

Soon these flakes though

Melt and die

Dampening the rigid earth floor.

Saying goodbye to the peacefulcal, display of the winding winter months.
