Championship
As I walked in, I saw Scouts,
Instantly felt nothing but chills.
Knowing they're only looking,
For players with skills.
Some guys play for themselves,
Only striving for stats.
Others play for the win,
And have productive at-bats.
We were down by 2,
My team needed a homerun.
The pitch was high-inside,
So I swung.
The ball soared out of sight,
It changed the score.
As I trotted the bases,
And touched all four.
We kept the lead that game,
And most definitely won.
Sports aren’t always,
Just meant to have fun.
