Sometimes you hear a song
And you begin to wonder
Exactly what the singer went through
In order to experience such pain
And you begin to feel a deep sadness within yourself
Roused only by the deep regret
That you are listening to this song
Because of the magnitude
Of what you went through
And suddenly you don’t feel as broken anymore
Because they went through something
That made them feel as jagged
And hurt inside as you do
