Shadow Man
Something that few can understand
is the sorrowful tale of the Shadow Man.
The thing that lives in gloom and shadow
Who chases a light he does not know,
Chasing orbs of voluminous light
That always seem to evade his sight.
As shadow and light become one,
He is is left alone in the shade of the Sun.
Left to creep in darkest night,
Forever seeking the wicked light, the brighter half of his blackened soul, a unity more valued than gold.
I am he and he is I-the creature in the dark who stalks thereby, looking for light that evades blind eyes.
Because what we seek is what happiness is made of- the fleeting emotion- the color of love
