They say you have no self respect when you hold a blade
When you let it graze
When you bleed
But your sorrows have been freed
When the pain subsides your back again
Blade in hand
And ready to start again
The pain comes back as a reminder
It’s stuck in your brain
The terrible things that haven’t left you sane
