Men get abused too. If you tell me that when I say women get abused,
then I may not listen to you
but men get abused too.

He walks into the police station, bruises on his face
As of late his head's been all over the place

He has to tell them about her hits.
her punches, her ploys,
how she never really missed
He is as scared as a little boy.

The cop at the counter asks, "Did you get into a fight, dude?"
Suddenly he finds himself unable to move.
As if that is all it could be: a fight. No. Call it a crime of passion if you will.
Her kisses are accompanied by crossbows, her flirtations come with fear tactics.

He can't tell them! They will laugh to no end. You let a girl hurt you?

He can't tell them! They will laugh with no measure. You let a girl hurt you?

They will blame him; like he was supposed to control her actions. She controls every part of his life! They will call him weak.

In that moment, he realizes. they can't help him. he is done.

In that moment, he convinces himself,
a kiss with a fist is better than none.
