Duality
Fire comforts the lonely, protects those around it.
It will keep you warm.
But fire burns when you agitate it, or let it run wild
There are times when I burn friends.
I wish fire could always be controlled, but
water is nourishing, relaxing and healing.
Calming and cool.
But water becomes a flood if caught in a storm,
as when two friends fight.
The hottest, calmest part of a flame is blue.
Perhaps, its true center is water.
Easily polluted and hurt, so fire is needed,
to protect and purify.
I am the fire to keep you warm, and,
the volcano ready to erupt.
I am the puddle you splash in and,
the flood that consumes everything.
