The Rose
The Rose
The jagged mountains that rest on the long stem
Don’t chip away the perfect
Don’t soil the beauty
Don’t Bruise the soft, red, velvet petals
The they intertwine each other
Like an old vine that is scaling up the wall
With the small holes bugs have chewed in the leaves
Like how our demons try to break us down
One petal falls
Please don’t do this
The more you think about it
The more petals that fall
One is left
It falls.
It floats to the ground and lands gently
They won
