The meaning of love

Love is an illusion.
It belies the mind,
and fools the heart,
proffering a new start.
Love is emancipatory.
It frees the mind and
the psyche, rendering
the soul almighty.
Love is abstruse.
It defies the senses,
and puzzles the wit,
daring one’s spirit.
Love is a flame;
a spark that shall
never be doused,
once it is aroused.
