Open Letter To Dad
You were the one who gave me light
And that light, I needed
You were the one who lead me to happiness
And happiness is a key to life
You were the one who showed me how to love
And love is and will always be strong
You were the one who understood the things I was going through
Things that were not easy
You were the one who created me
Or so helped my mom
But when I opened my eyes
And saw that bright light shining
You were the one who was up in heaven
Not down here on earth
You were the one who I wouldn’t see for a lifetime
Or maybe I could just go now like you did
You were the one who I never got to truly meet
Because you went too fast
You were the one who gave them the power
They got in your head
Now you are the one who is gone
Gone forever
