I am thirteen                                                                                and my ears have betrayed me                                                      the ears I cannot live without                                                                                  how come I can’t hear like regular people                                      what if I can’t hear at all anymore                                                  before morning                                                                            and I can’t hear noises like I did before                                          I have to learn how to listen                                                        with hearing devices on my ears                                                    The first day with them on was the hardest day ever                      The devices were too loud                                                            I got emotional                                                                        Finally, I took them off                                                              when I got home                                                                          Stood still                                                                                and I can’t hear noises like I did before
