The basement
Tomorrow I will be
up stairs when company
comes over and no one
Will dare say to me
go in the basement
They will beg me
To come up stairs
Because they all
Know how ashamed
They are
I’ll never have to worry
About tomorrow being monday
and Having to hear the doorbell ring
And have to run straight down stairs
Tomorrow I will be
up stairs when company
comes over and no one
Will dare say to me
go in the basement
They will beg me
To come up stairs
Because they all
Know how ashamed
They are
I’ll never have to worry
About tomorrow being monday
and Having to hear the doorbell ring
And have to run straight down stairs
I am not the lighter
Brother but I will be
Respected when
company comes over
I won't play and
talk to myself
I will be playing and
Talking to the company
Now that I am stronger
And the color of my skin doesn't
Matter if I can come upstairs
Or down stairs
When company comes over
I will never have to hear the doorbell
and run down stairs
