the sky is confused today MAG
the sky is confused today
like it doesn’t know whether to rain
snow
or cry out in pain
the sky shakes today
ready to shed its layers and let us perish
ready to collapse into the sea,
reunite with an old love
the sky is cold today
it pours
drooping down like a homeless man
without a sweater in November
i am confused today
like I don’t know whether to wallow
dance
or cry out in shame
i shake today
a red leaf in the breeze
wriggling from the tight grasp of an autumn tree
home can become
too tight
i am cold today
my mind pickled by NyQuil
frozen in time and tissue boxes
tangled in a tetris of clouds and pillows
