The Art Of Giving

Love, knowledge, kindness and care,
I gave everything that I had.
I gave and gave and gave,
But was I giving something more than just words?
Little by little, ever so slowly,
I felt tiny pieces of me fly far away.
They vanished into the universe,
And never even looked back.
“Give your heart and soul” they said,
But what will remain of me, if I do?
