The Memory of You
A memory of when I was happy.
Its vague, but it's still there.
And everywhere I go,
that same memory returns.
I want to forget the things
that I did with you.
but I can't;
Because everywhere I turn
there's a memory...
a reminder
that you're gone.
And I'll never get to tell you
how much I took you for granted.
And I wonder how you are,
or even where you are.
But no matter what
I hope that the memory of me
makes you smile instead of cry
unlike
the memory of you

I lost my best friend a while ago, she actually moved away on a short notice. I never got to tell her goodbye. There are so many things that I wish I could have told her, and there are so many memories that just make me sit and cry. Her name was Amanda and she was the best and worst thing that ever happened to me.
