Have you ever heard someone say
Leave them there
  They belong alone

I am one of the shunned.
I have lived in the shadows for
Longer than you’ve been alive.
I will always be here
  Hiding in the shadows.
   Wishing I could have what everyone else does
The happy life.
The joy
  They love.
I want to be loved.
I dont want to be feared
  Because
    Im different
    Im weird
    Im not like everyone else
  I am feared because nobody wants
To end up like me
Nobody wants the pain i feel
Or the words people say to me.
Nobody wants the darkness
  No matter how peaceful it is.
   It’s darkness.
Why be dark when you can be in the light?
But no matter how hard they
  They try and say that im not here
   And that I dont matter
    That Im nothing
     And that they will never ever ever end up like me
    I am here
   I always have been here
  I always will be here
I just wish someone could see me
The real me.
I will always be here
No matter how hard you try and paint over me
I am still here
