The Lake
A deep, murky mystery
A window to a world unknown
The dangerous creatures,
Slippery, round stones,
And the still waters that hide many secrets,
And mask them with beauty.
A story left untold
Cowering beneath its deadly terrors
We are told
That it is safe
With it’s grimy surface
And depth you can’t breathe under
Things could be better
If we could just learn
To respect it.
