Where I'm From
I am from long crop fields and the sound of cards being dealt.
I am from two houses my favorite is being the one with the little in the front yard.
I am from a few dead plants that my mom couldn’t keep alive.
I am from fair parents and the sound of laughter.
From Amy and Jim and my past loved ones.
From “You can be anything” to “Get your grades up!”.
I am form a weird family with lots of love.
From the mother that kills all the plants she has and a card playing sister.
I am from all of these things.
That began, from where I am from.

I wrote this poem for a classroom assignment. I decied to write my poem on my family, they mean so much to me it was a kind of no brainer to choose to write about them.
I have always wanted people to read my writing to explore things that are unfamilar to people who may not have this in there own home.
