Butterflies
Love like everything else, is temporary. The way your eyes gaze into mine, like you could stare at me forever, is temporary. But god I wish it wasn’t because the vibrant stars kept in your innocent eyes make me float. And I could float with you forever. You make forever become real as long as I’m with you. So please hold me close. You make me believe there is no temporary. As if you changed my mind believing growing up was so scary. Temporary could be nonexistent when I’m with you. So please hold me close. Don’t let the aging butterflies in our stomach escape. Don’t let them realize they’ve been in there for quite too long. Don’t let them figure out they were only temporary.
So please for right now, just hold me close my darling.
