Love is the Warmest Color
A serene melody of loneliness
Only accompanied by the crescent moon
Knuckles bruised from the night before
Blues and blacks of patriarchy
Dawn paints the sky in a rhythmatic glow
Her lips a delicate blossom
See the flowers stretching in the sunlight
Pinks of peonies
Death is promised to the bee
His sting protects her colony
A timeless gift given to the queen,
A jet black samurai
Suddenly he is a lotus eater
Living in a state of dreamy forgetfulness
Like a deer in Nara
Red tinted bandages
An embrace to melt Hotakadake
A frozen pair to hold
How he can’t stand the touch of any other hands
Love is the warmest color.
