Stopping on the Beautiful Day to Barbecue
What barbecue is this I think I know.
In the city I must go;
People will not see me stopping here
To smell the barbecue in the air.
The people around must think I’m weird
To stop and smell the smoky air
I know my destination is near
I must find the grill that has to sear.
I raise my nose to smell the way
When I realize it is a beautiful day.
The birds are sounding and the sky is blue.
The clouds are puffy, white, and true.
The day is sunny, relaxing, and good,
But I have a plans I can not hide.
The barbecue I must find,
The barbecue I must find.
