Clouds
Sight no further than my hands
Cold, damp clouds my view.
Shaking, shiver, sodden
Hazy, grey outlines of trees.
Looming creature, vicious
Intents. Coming closer,
Frigid dread incapacitates.
No escape, no hope.
Unforeseen light fills my sight
A torch of hope.
Horrendous monster gone,
Yet I’m still alone.
Sitting in the damp, darkness
Many years I will spend
Holding on to my little hope
Fighting the creatures of dark.

This poem is about a person stuck in a foggy forest. She is alone when a creatre attacks her. When all hope was lost she was suddenly given light which scared off the creature. This is a metaphor for someone who is depressed and has lost all hope when suddenly something enters into their life to give it meaning again.
