I am from warm  chocolate cookies cooling on the counter,
from stuffed animals and chocolate on my mother’s desk.
I am from a pink front door that greets everyone as they come in.

I am going to conquer my fear on starting a family and starting a life away from home.
I am going to spend my summers writing up a storm or soaring through books .
I’m going to apply to performing arts school or a school of photography,
where I will build my understanding of my chosen career.

I will pass on good books by reading to my children,
at a young age from my mom and dad.
I will be a helper of the needy  and a friend.
I will be an entrepreneur and a dreamer.

I will study abroad but always come home.
I will save lives and serve others.

I will always be from lime cake and apple pie and El Paso TX.
even when I am on cloud nine.
My future may be unsure but I’m ready for whatever it may bring.
