Your Gone, My Little Sweetheart
I sat under the weeping willow
My tears feed its roots
I live in this world all alone now
Never again to see you
Your innocent, 6-year-old smile
It warmed my cold heart
But now you are gone from this world
You’re gone, my little sweetheart
I knew you were extremely sick
I knew there was no cure
But that doesn’t mean I don’t miss you
Time, oh how I wish I had more
Your weak, stuttering pulse
Your shaven and bald head
I couldn’t believe it was you
Laying so still in that bed
Those last few minutes
They break my heart every time
But your bright little smile
Melted the cold heart of mine
I miss you so much
I don’t think you will ever know
But the time has come to early
It is time for me to let you go
