The History of Basketball
Basketball a loving sport to this day,
all the fans in the stands still cheer hooray.
But let's get into the history of the great sport known well today.
It was invented in 1891,
by a gym teacher named James, who just wanted his students to have fun.
He worked all day and all night designing something
that will ignite a new and amazing sight.
Finally he decided to make it out of leather and fill it with feathers
and the first hoops, made out of wire and old car tires.
Finally when that ball bounced off the floor for the first time it was like music in his ears.
So when you're in the stands cheering hooray,
think about how basketball came to be such a loving sport today.
And this shows how he chased his dreams and never gave up and how he succeeded, just like you can if you put your 100% into what you want to accomplish.
